FURORE Edition Eleven
‘Metamorphosis’
For Edition Eleven - entitled 'Metamorphosis' - FURORE designer Elke Baert draws her inspiration from nature: the budding of a transforming caterpillar from its cocoon. This results in a vibrant collection using luxurious fabrics, unusual textures, a warm colour palette and timeless FURORE silhouettes.
The awakening
Edition Eleven's soft accents highlight the beauty in the metamorphosis process. Where the elegant dégradé of the cape Portia alludes to the beautiful transformation of the insect, the contrasting ribbon on the blouse Baricia is an abstraction of the caterpillar making its way through nature.
The textured detail returns surprisingly asymmetrical on the matching skirt Santo; or also how nature remains unpredictable. The fine jacquard in the pullover Papillo shows the tracks left by the caterpillar.
Integral colours
Refined shades of black and white, complemented by cameltree, sabia beige and cocoon white. In the organic colours of this collection, designer Elke Baert translates the protective nature of the cocoon. The powerful touch of rosalia red almost literally highlights the wonder of such a small, yet grand, phenomenon.
The vibrant jacquard check in the blouse Baricia and trousers Triplo, which combines just about every colour in Edition Eleven, immediately catches the eye. Edition Eleven features a number of tastefully contrasting details - the caterpillar versus the butterfly - such as the line pattern in the Bossala blouse that refers to the shape of the cocoon.
The Limited
Edition Eleven's most exclusive pieces are The Limited dress Darfala and the dashing pullover Peloso. The stylish Darfala, in cocoon white, rosalia red and black, has a striking collar and eye-catching cuffs. The knitwear technique of the dress is reminiscent of the wondrous cocoon that gives security.
In the pullover Peloso, also in cocoon white, rosalia red and black, the caterpillar bursts out of its chrysalis. In the wide sleeves and feminine V-neckline, the butterfly spreads its wings. Peloso's tactility and different knitting techniques reflect the matter of transformation.
Slow fashion
The colours and silhouettes of Edition Eleven seamlessly build on the previous editions. Thus, FURORE designer Elke Baert invites women to combine the different collections/editions across seasons to create unique looks. The combination of the well-known 'Never Out of Stock' fabrics and the more wintry knitwear underlines FURORE's seasonless approach and breaks away from the traditional fashion calendar.
